Abay Analysts is made up of a team of professionals with solid and extensive experience in economic and social consulting. They also have a basis in technical assistance applied to the labor market, social issues, gender, and innovation, for both public and private institutions at the international, European, and national levels.
A distinctive feature of Abay Analysts is the development of its own methodologies that offer a quantitative perspective of economic and social issues, permitting the analysis of both policy and program impact and the development of specific indicator levels for monitoring these actions.
On top of its professional team, Abay Analysts has an extensive network of contributors that allow the coverage of diverse projects, creating necessarily interdisciplinary work groups, due to the current demands of specialization required.

Maribel Martínez Martín
Masters in Economic Analysis and Public Finance from the Institute of Fiscal Studies with Bachelors in Economic and Business Studies from the University of Alcalá de Henares.
Since 1992, Maribel has undertaken research and consulting work for various public and private bodies, directing and coordinating research projects related to impact analysis, sectoral economic structure analysis, the evaluation of public policies, SME and entrepreneurship, and the analysis of economic potential. Since 2004, she has been a partner and director of Abay where she has led studies that can be found in the “Reports” section. She has also been an associate professor at the EOI Business School since 2009. Further, she has also completed a professional course on project management oriented toward PMI Certification.
Nuria Guilló Rodríguez
BA in Political Science and Administration and a Masters in Feminism and Gender from the Complutense University of Madrid
Since 2006, Nuria has been an ABAY Analysts consultant where she has participated in numerous studies and research projects on the impact assessment of public policies and sectoral analysis. She is also an expert in gender analysis and the analysis of social issues, as well as various qualitative analysis techniques. She has participated in most of the projects listed in the “Reports” section.
Leila Rodríguez Florín
Masters in Program Evaluation and Public Policy from the Complutense University of Madrid; Masters in Applied Economic Analysis with an Emphasis on Labour Economics from the University of Alcalá de Henares and a degree in Economics majoring in Microeconomics from the National University of Asunción. Currently she is pursuing a PhD in Political Science and Administration and International Relations.
An Abay Analysts team member , Leila specializes in quantitative analysis and the development of economic reports. She has also been an intern at the Institute of Fiscal Studies, specializing in public policy analysis.
Nieves Cabello Medina
Pursuing a PhD in Government and Public Administration at the Ortega y Gasset Institute; Specialist in Policies of the Union and of European Communities from the Open University, with a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Cádiz.
Nieves has been a professional consultant for over twenty years and is an expert in the design and evaluation of public policies, the analysis of economic development in urban areas, and strategic consultancy. Currently, she is the Manager of the Association of European Business and Innovation in Spain (ANCES) and an Abay Analysts consultant. She has also been a member of the Spanish Evaluation Society since 2003, a member of the Board of the Solidary World NGO Economists since 1996, and a member of the Board of Directors of the European Association LEDA (Leda Partenariat Association Limited) established in 1999 in the UK with the purpose of developing and disseminating the promotion and development of local initiatives within European Union countries.
Paula de Diego Olmos
Graduada en Economía con especialidad en Análisis Económico por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Máster en Análisis de las Relaciones Económicas Internacionales.
Miembro del equipo de Abay Analistas, Paula es especialista en Economía Internacional y cuenta con formación específica en evaluación de impacto. En Abay Analistas ha participado en proyectos de análisis tanto cualitativo como cuantitativo. Entre su trayectoria profesional se destaca la realización de prácticas laborales en ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones como analista de comercio internacional y la participación en proyectos de investigación como becaria para la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
